update

My autumn scan has revealed that I am growing another shiny new tumour, this time embedded in the psoas muscle in my back. This, together with the fact that there has been progression in some of the mets on my lungs, means that playing Whack-a-Mole with individual secondaries is no longer a viable strategy. Well, I will have been happily on the run for nearly two years since diagnosis, but they’ve tracked me down, my hideout’s surrounded, and I have little choice now but to come out with my hands up - and accept that it is time to start drug treatment. These things can’t be left for long. It looks inevitable that I’ll be on the hard stuff early in January 2020.
