update
First, a surprise. Instead of having to wait a couple of weeks, they examined my CT scans straight away and phoned me with the results soon after I got home. Significant reduction in the size of my largest lung met, the others stable. Encouraging, for my first few cycles of immunotherapy.
For the time being, however, that’s the end of my drug treatment. In the short term, the cancer is no problem; but Covid19 definitely is. The two heavy duty drugs that I’ve been on make a coronavirus attack likely to be severe. The consultant didn’t hold back in expressing the risk. And so, no more intravenous Avelumab immunotherapy sessions in the chemo suite, no more Axitinib tablets at home. In three months I’ll have another scan to see how things are, inside. And we’ll all have a clearer picture of how the virus situation is, outside.
